Duran Duran in Argentina

Mar del Plata. – The British band Duran Duran presented «Red Carpet Massacre», and in the middle of a frozen day, they displayed part of their new disc, in which their Argentinian fanatics could enjoy the band by third time in history. The presentation of the group that impelled the movement «new romantic» in the 80s did within the framework of the event «World Football Idol», which it took place in the Mundialista stage of Mar del Plata, to about 400 kilometers to the south of Buenos Aires. HOwever, the British group sounded of form compact and harmonized, with Simon Him Bon handling the proceeding of the show, and a complement without fissures on the part of the other members, creating climates and moments that aroused their followers. Duran Duran presented «Red Carpet Massacre» in the United States and has thought to initiate its tour the 3 of December in UK. In addition, they advanced that they study the possibility of returning to Argentina in 2008, when they turn 30 years of its debut.

 

 

Rocambole and the art

Palito gave a surprising show

Ramon «Palito» Ortega, ex- gobernador tucumano, ex- senator and at the moment producer of  spectacles, returned Saturday to the dawn to dress his clothes of ídolo music and sang among the guests to the annual supper of the Camara Argentina de Salas of Bingo and Afines (CASBA) that was made in the hall «Golden» of Parque Norte, in this capital. Its performance was not announced  for the occasion, that included tenors, a singer of blues and a pair of comedians. To 2,15 in the morning one announced that it would raise the stage Palito Ortega. One thought that a imitador of old idol would appear, but was he himself in person whom, contained in an impeccable blue suit, with red tie, in the middle of columns of smoke and surrounded by giant screens that showed it in their films of success, it greeted people and began to sing his hits. «Palito», sang with a timbre of voice similar to had 20 years ago“Un muchacho como yo”, “La Felicidad”, “Corazón contento”, “Despeinada”,  and many of its subjects, before incredulous and been thankful public .
